fellinara: (Jedi Order)
It's been nearly a month since I have posted! So busy! Missed Dreamwidth however and now it is time for me to catch up.

I am still working on Fellinara's story. Daniel Horne was a bit complicated because he's a pretty prominent person at this point in her story so I bought a small moleskine - like notebook to jot down ideas and rough draft that part of her story. That is still working in progress so if you've been reading my previous posts on her story, please hang in there. More is coming! more on D&D stuff )

I've also started bullet journalling. I have used a standard yearly planner at my desk for several years now. I loved my Erin Condren one that I used a couple of years ago but those are super expensive. I've moved on to the Blue Sky ones that you pick up at Target but they really are just a calendar. While I jot down stuff a lot in them, I need more. All of the features of my E C planner didn't work for me totally either. So, I'm moving to bullet journal.

If you have never heard of using a Bullet Journal, it is a fully customizable journal/planner for you. You start with a blank journal (most folks use an A6 (think that refers to the size) Moleskine (brand) or Leuchtturm 1971 book (this is the most common) and you make your calendars, to do lists, etc to be what ever you want. You can doodle in it, use washi tape, stickers, etc. There is not much rhyme or reason except that it has to work for you. You have Calendar future spreads, weekly at a glance spreads and "collections". Collections are things you want to jot down or track somehow. For example, a collection might be a "Brain dump" page or a brainstorming ideas page. Another be an exercise tracker. Another might be a graph for tracking your sleep and/or moods. Another is a meal planning tracker.....you get the idea. There are a ton of YouTube videos on the topic that I found amazing. I'm currently using a small notebook as a trial bullet journal so I can take August and figure out what I want in my journal. Then I'm going to treat myself to a Leuchtturm 1971 to set it up for the rest of my year. This will be more personal and take up less space on my desk so it's a win all the way. I also get to work on my handwriting skills. Another 50 points for Griffindor!!!! :)

Do any of you bullet journal? How do you like it? What are some of your favorite collections?
